So you want to read about me, eh?
Roll up, roll up, Tom has finally given in to all my friends who are hooked on LJ. I'm afriad I usually have more important things to do than blow my own trumpet so you may not find my LJ rich with news.
This is the second time I've wrote this bio piece. The first time, I wrote loads! But at the same time, I chose to live in the District of Columia on the Heard and MacDonald Islands, so after pressing submit, LiveJournal moaned at me for choosing a US State and a non-US Country, and of course saved none of the other changes. As such, my already low regard for this LJ nonsense took quite a nosedive. If you think I'm paying for this you're very much mistaken!
So, to introduce myself. My name is Tom. I was born, at a very early age, in 1981, and am still not dead. I reside in Birmingham in the UK and not the Heard and Macdonald Islands, silly LJ, no one lives on the Heard and MacDonald Islands. Check it out
I'm a human being 1st, European 2nd, ashamed to be British 3rd, indifferently English 4th, stupidly proud to be Northern 5th, even more stupidly proud to be from Gods Own County 6th (that's Yorkshire for all you southern types), and Tom last.
A friend once told me about their religious beliefs. "Di-agnostic", he proclaimed to the latest evangelist. "Still doing tests." I don't know if there is a God, and while I have spent many an hour contemplating the spiritual, I'm much more concerned about the human beings in front of me. While my beliefs may become more enlightened over time, I very much doubt becoming religious, ever.
Now professionally bumming once again, this time in Law!
Initially through Cogs, the computer science dept. society, and due to the very bad influence of some very good friends, I am currently sit on the Guild's Executive Committee as Satellite Sites Officer, at which it is my pleasure to serve.
I have a mum who does legal things in a hospital, a dad who is an Estate Agent, and a younger brother who is currently on course for a first in BSc Alcohol Studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
